Leaked Screenshots Show Anthropic Building a Lovable Killer
Leaked Claude screenshots reveal a full-stack app builder with templates, live preview, one-click publishing, and built-in databases - putting Anthropic on a direct collision course with Lovable's $6.6 billion vibe-coding empire.

TL;DR
- Leaked screenshots show Anthropic building a full app creation platform inside Claude with the tagline "Let's ship something great"
- The interface includes templates for chatbots, games, and landing pages, live browser preview, one-click publish, and built-in infrastructure: database, auth, storage, and user management
- The feature targets Lovable directly - the Swedish startup that hit $400M ARR with 146 employees after raising $330M at a $6.6B valuation
- Anthropic has not confirmed or denied the feature
Screenshots leaked on X this week show Anthropic building something well beyond Claude Artifacts: a complete full-stack application builder integrated directly into the Claude chat interface.
The images, first shared by @marmaduke091 and amplified by @slash1sol, reveal a polished interface with a tagline that leaves little room for interpretation: "Let's ship something great."

What the screenshots show
The leaked UI goes well beyond prompt-to-prototype:
- Template gallery: Pre-built starting points for chatbots, photo galleries, games, and landing pages
- Live browser preview: A rendered preview pane alongside the chat, showing the app as it's being built
- One-click "Publish" button: Deploy directly from the Claude interface without touching a hosting provider
- Built-in infrastructure panel: Database, Storage, Auth, Users, and Logs - all native, no third-party wiring needed
- "Recipes" sidebar: One-click flows for adding dark mode, sign-in setup, security scanning, and database connections
- A mini game in the loading screen while apps build - a small touch that signals this has had serious design attention
This isn't a prototype someone found in a code branch. The UI has polish, consistent branding, and what appears to be working infrastructure integration.
The Lovable-shaped target
The competitive implications are hard to overstate.
Lovable - formerly GPT Engineer - is the poster child of vibe coding. Founded in November 2023 by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin, it grew from an open-source project with 54,000 GitHub stars to a company doing $400 million in annual recurring revenue by February 2026. The last $100 million came in a single month. In December 2025, it raised $330 million at a $6.6 billion valuation.
Lovable's head of growth Elena Verna told Sifted: "I always worry about the big boys and girls in the world. So OpenAIs, Anthropics, Googles, Apples - more so than our competitors that spring up from the bottom or sideways."
That worry now has screenshots attached to it.
Anthropic already has the building blocks
This isn't coming from nowhere. Anthropic has been layering app-building capabilities into Claude for over a year:
- Claude Artifacts (June 2024): Generates rendered code, documents, and interactive applications in a side panel. Tens of millions created.
- AI-powered Apps (July 2025): Artifacts gained the ability to call Claude's API directly, turning them into intelligent micro-applications with persistent storage.
- MCP integration: Artifacts support Model Context Protocol servers for connecting to external services.
- Claude Apps (January 2026): Interactive tools running inside the conversation with usable interfaces.
The leaked app builder looks like the logical endpoint of this trajectory: take everything Artifacts can do, add hosting infrastructure, and wrap it in a UI that non-developers can use.
The platform advantage
What makes this different from another coding assistant is the distribution moat. Lovable, Bolt.new, and v0 all depend on Claude or GPT as their underlying model. Bolt.new's founder Eric Simons has credited Claude 3.5 Sonnet as "the enabling technology that made [Bolt] possible, period."
If Anthropic ships an app builder natively, it has a structural advantage none of the startups can match: zero model licensing costs, guaranteed access to the latest capabilities, and integration with every other Claude feature. Lovable pays retail for the same intelligence Anthropic gets at cost.
As Trending Topics EU put it: "While specialist providers must build their own infrastructure, Anthropic could draw on an already established, high-performance language model."
No confirmation, no denial
Anthropic has not officially commented. Sifted reports they approached Anthropic for comment and received no response.
The screenshots could represent an internal experiment, a feature gated behind unreleased flags, or a fully developed product awaiting launch. The level of UI polish and infrastructure depth (database, auth, user management) suggests this is more than a hackathon project.
For the vibe-coding startups valued at billions, the silence is the loudest part.
